Camber is composed of wood veneer, metal hardware and clear monofilament. The curved forms of Camber are deceiving, as each part of the mobile starts out as a flat rectangle of veneer. The use of wood veneer is a step towards sustainability as veneer production yields considerably more usable material than solid wood lumber. Mobile elements are finished with a blend of beeswax, carnauba wax and orange oil. They are intended for interior installation only.

 

Camber was exhibited at the 2006 HauteGREEN exhibition in Brooklyn - a showcase of sustainable products.
